La Verne Heritage Pumpkin Patch

Went to La Verne Heritage Pumpkin Patch last week with my son's preschool LVPPP (La Verne Parent Participation School).

We went on a Tractor Ride (which I loved going through the orange trees and seeing them grow - can't wait for March to come to pick them)

Got to check out some baby chicks, pigs, turkey, lamb, ducks, and chickens.

In the end my son picked up a pumpkin and decorated!

Big Horse Corn Maze

We went this last Saturday to the Corn Maze at Big Horse Feed.  It was a great day!  To be honest I was nervous that I wasn't going to have the energy (being pregnant) to go through the whole maze.  We had a "map"with us to use to go through the maze.  We let our son first guide us through which got us in the same place THREE TIMES!  Then my hubby took over and he got us through the maze.  There are stations along the way that reassure you that you are going the right way.  I was surprised at how cooler it was inside the maze with lots of shade from the corn and a nice breeze coming through.  I was very happy to see that there was spotters looking after in case any problems and emergency exits along the way.

They have other activities besides the maze with my sons favorite Rubber Ducks Race (which only cost a $1 for the duck).  Almost had a hard time pulling him away from this to get to the maze!  He loved also the big bouncy slide and...

CORN CANNON!!!  Of course dad had to help and then have turn himself!

TIPS:

Make sure you bring water, snacks, and sunscreen!

Don't Hug Me I'm Pregnant - REVIEW

I went last Friday to check out Don't Hug Me I'm Pregnant at The Secret Rose Theatre.

The story takes place in early October in Bunyan Bay, Minnesota, in a little bar called "The Bunyan," owned by Clara and Gunner Johnson. Clara is 8 1/2 months pregnant with their first child, and today she's looking forward to her baby shower, getting lots of presents, and taking a break from her raging hormones.

Suddenly, a freak snow storm, a "tsnownami," hits Bunyan Bay and they find themselves snowed in. All roads are closed. No one can get in or leave. Gunner's worst nightmare comes true when Clara goes into labor and he realizes he's going to have to deliver the baby in the bar.

I had a great time!  The show was very funny!  My favorite parts were Aarvid, played by Greg Barnett, proposed to Bernice, played by Natalie Lander, in a song and dance.

and when Gunner, played by Patrick Foley, is panicking about having a baby and then finds the strength to join his wife in child labor - SLOW MOTION!

When:  Through November 20th

Where:  The Secret Rose Theatre

Price  $20 per person
